What is a mini session?

A mini session is a shorter, simplified version of a full photo session. It’s designed to be quick, easy, and stress-free and perfect for when you want updated photos without committing to a full session. Mini sessions are usually booked back-to-back at one pre-determined date, time, and location. Because of the shortened nature of mini sessions, they are typically not as customized to the individual client.

How long are mini sessions?

Mini sessions typically last 15–20 minutes. They’re short but intentional, giving us just enough time to capture beautiful images without the overwhelm of a longer session.

What’s included in a mini session?

Every mini session includes:

  • A set number of high-resolution images, with the option to purchase more

  • An online gallery for easy viewing and downloading

  • A professionally styled set either in a studio or at a specific location (seasonal, themed, or lifestyle depending on the event)

How many people can be included in a mini session?

Mini sessions can include up to 6 people maximum. If you have a larger group, we recommend booking a full session. Not only will it give us more time, but you’ll also save money by booking the longer session rather than trying to squeeze a large party into a mini.

Who are mini sessions best for?

Mini sessions are ideal for:

  • Families (especially with little ones who don’t love long sessions!)

  • Couples and friends

  • Branding or headshots when you need something polished fast

  • Seasonal or holiday photos

 

If you’re looking for multiple outfit changes, a fully customized experience, or have a larger group, a full session is the way to go.

What should we wear?

For best results, choose outfits that:

  • Coordinate without being too “matchy”

  • Fit the theme of the session (neutral tones always work beautifully!)

  • Make you feel confident and comfortable

 

We’ll also send you styling tips in advance to make it easy.

Can I bring more than one outfit?

Mini sessions are designed for efficiency, so one outfit is recommended. If you’d like variety, a full session is a better option.

When will I receive my photos?

Unless specified otherwise, you’ll receive your gallery within one week after your session. At that time, you'll be able to download your photos and/or purchase retouches. If you purchase retouches, your retouches will be completed 3-5 days after you make your selections. Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee.

Can I purchase extra photos?

Yes! Your session includes a set number of images, and you’ll have the option to purchase additional favorites right from your gallery.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before your session will be refunded. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable.

Can I use my photos for social media or holiday cards?

Absolutely! Your photos are yours to print, share, and enjoy. Please feel free to tag us on social media when you do! @elyrosephotography

Will you use my photos for marketing?

We love sharing client images on our website and social media to showcase the experience. On your booking form, you’ll have the option to let us know if you’re comfortable with your images being shared.
